Fabulous Mini Album

The pattern base was started from Paper Phenomenon's Confessions of a Shopaholic pattern.  I had to add my own twist to it.  The pattern had flaps on main pages but with my Cricut I switched the flaps to purses.  I have to laugh because Kathy has produced over a dozen tutorials in the time that I have taken to get this done!  LOL

FCCB Challenge #83- Spooky Time

This week's Challenge is to make a project and include a ghost.  I need to make a Halloween card for a little girl and this is what I came up with. (I better hurry and post so I can mail it to her...)

Mini Monster's Ghost is pull out tag that reveals a Ghostly Message, "Tick or Treat"

The stamps are from My Pink Stamper, Happiest Moments and Spook-alicious

Halloween Memory Frame

OK... I am super excited about this-  I was checking my crafty friend's blogs on Monday and what do I find?  My Creative Time is having a Design Team Call!!! Forgetting that it is "Laundry Day" at my house, I reached for my stamps and thought about a project that would showcase them. (and make a gift for Auntie Laura too)  Here is my entry:
Here is the fur baby Fletcher, dressed as the Flying ACE Snoopy

Stamp is from "My Favorite Sayings", Sunflower is the die from Build a Banner Kit

Fletcher's Tongue is always sticking out, LOL
Paw Stamp- Anyday Bingo & Crossword
Recipe:
Wild Card Cricut Cartridge- Halloween Card, 4 in., layers to match.  I flipped one card and welded the square part on my Gypsy.  This would work without welding.  Just layer the cards.  I cut 4 welded shapes and sandwiched them together with glue.
Leaves for Sunflowers- Wild Card, 4 in.
Banner for Stamp - Wild Card, Frame button 42, 1.25 in
Spellbinders Oval Scallop Die for frame around photo

Gifty Challenge- Mini Brag Book

The Challenge: We all love to receive a little surprise . . . just because! This challenge is all about paying it forward and brightening someone’s day! Create something to give away using your Cricut machine. It can be for a holiday, a season, an occasion, or just because. Be sure to include at least 2 Cricut Image Cuts on your project.

I am going to surprise my sister with this girly brag book.  She lives in another state and so does her grand daughter.  She will adore this happy mail to stow all the sweet photos of her grand daughter.  The paper line is Echo Park's Little Girl and some papers from my stash.  I love how I was able to chose cricut cuts to compliment the paper line.  The base is a paper bag album inspired by Kathy Orta's Random Memories Series on You Tube.  I added file cards cuts from "From My Kitchen" to the flaps that fold up to reveal a pocket with photo mats and journal tags.

Create A Critter Birdy in her nest, Tab lifts up to reveal a pocket and photo mats

Queen 4 a day, Once Upon A Princess
Castle and Frog, Princess Party

Flowers open up for Pictures, from Hello Kitty Greetings

Straight from the Nest Bird, Heart is from Doodle Charms

Cupcake from Sweet Treats matches the Echo Park Sticker ;)

Let's Face It Friday- Windy

I saw this cute puppy on my Imagine Best Friends cart.  He looks like my dog hangin' out the window and letting those ears fly, LOL.  The dog was originally blue, but if you change the color you lose the face details... no problem-  Get your Peachy Faces and add some character.  I used the PK-493 Everyday Character Face Parts and More. I used my PC to print the sentiment.

MPS Challenge

Challenge: Make a goodie bag or 3-D item that is for a Holiday. Any Holiday or Occasion will be perfect.

I added an extra experiment.  How is build 66 Cricut Craft Room and Imagine compatibility?  The short answer: No.  I was able to flood fill.  If I used a pattern paper, it put black lines around the image.  WHY? Just from color palate, no ugly black lines.  Imagine did print but during the cutting process... the blade just stayed in one place and bounced up and down like it was possessed.  I quickly turned it off.  The result below was HAND cut.  *sigh*

Wicked Wishes

I have been busy decorating my home for Halloween.  I just finished this wall hanging I made to enter in the Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge.  All the cuts are from Mini Monsters' Cricut cartridge except the moon which came from the Don Juan cartridge.  The base plaque is metal and was found at my local Micheal's.
The Challenge: Create a Halloween Home Decor project! Your project must include at least 2 different Cricut Image Cuts.

Miss Spider was ready for her close up :)

Throwback Thursday Challenge- Halloween Card

The Challenge this week was to use a card feature on an older Cricut cartridge with a Halloween theme.  The card shape is from the Going Places cartridge. I made a banner with the Dies from My Creative Time's Build a Banner Kit.  The little ghost and font is from the My Creative Time's Anyday Bingo and Crossword stamp set.

Heather's Shadow Box

My girl has been requesting a shadow box be made for her room for a while.  Thanks to the heads up from by crafting friend Bea, I was able to pick up this wooden box at the Dollar Tree.  I filled the shadow box with goodies that my girl enjoys.  This is my entry for the Fantabulous Cricut's Wall Decor  and More Challenge.

The Spider and the Fly...

The Cricut Circle's Last Anniversary Blog Challenge is to follow a sketch.  My house is a disaster keeping up with all the challenges but cleaning the house is not as fun as playing with paper... I thought I would make a Halloween card for my niece.  The spider can swing around and she can move around the card as she is anchored by her web.
The Challenge: Create a project of your choice using the sketch below. Your project must include at least 2 different Cricut Image Cuts

Sometimes I look at my fly...

Sometimes I attack the fly!

My Puppy and Me Scrapbook Page

Here is a scrapbook page made with the Cricut Imagine and Best Friends cartridge.  I made this project for another Cricut Blog Anniversary challenge.  The Challenge: Use your Imagine Machine to print a background (it can be a solid color or a patterned paper from your Imagine cartridge) and use it on your project as well as cutting an image of your choice in layers- that’s right, choose the layers option on your image and print out one or all of the layers offered, piece them together on your project!

Pumpkin Time

It is time for another weekly challenge at Fantabulous Cricut.  For this Challenge you must include a pumpkin on your project.  I used Mini Monters for the princess, page title, and pumpkins. My Journal tag was made with the Imagine and Imagine More cartridge.  Elegant edges cartridge was used for the rest of the cuts.

Sweet Witch Shoes

Here is another project for the Cricut Circle's Blogiversary.  The Challenge: Create a project of your choice using your Cuttlebug machine as the main focus. Your project must include at least 2 different Cricut Image Cuts.
This is an easy favor to make with just one cut from Princess Party and a buckle form Fabulous Finds Cricut cartridges.  For a more sensible witch shoe, I cut a 1 1/2 in circle to make a closed toe shoe and glued the circle at the base of the shoe folding it to cover the open toe.  I cut the purple rose from flower shoppe.  The shoe cut was cut at seven inches.  I cut another shoe and cut the surfaces that show on the outside of the shoe to roll through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder.  The buckle was de-bossed with Tiny Bubbles folder to give it a hammer metal look.

Think Pink Card

The Cricut Circle is celebrating the first year of their blog with challenges for members.  The Challenge: Create a project of your choice using a monochromatic color scheme. Your project must include at least 2 different Cricut Image Cuts.  I used my Imagine to cut the scene and separated the layers and flooded the original colors with pink tones. The only detail that I could not get pink was the leaves on the flowers but I was able to shade those with a pink Copic marker.

Christmas Card Challenge....sigh

I about fainted when My Pink Stamper suggested a Christmas Card Challenge.  But, I guess if you think about it... Christmas crafty things should be made now for holiday craft fairs and gifts.  "Believe" stamps is from My Pink Stamper's Family and Friends stamp collection.  I should get busy and make a set  of these...

(French Manor, Shall We Dance, Cricut Everyday, Pop-Up Neighborhood, or Sophie) Your project must include at least 2 different Cricut Image Cuts. And YES! A Squirrelly Fall Banner

I made this Fall Squirrel Banner to add to the fall decorations in my home.  I keep forgetting about the pre-loaded cartridges that came with the Anniversary Edition of the E2 Cricut machine.  I found this squirrel on the Just a Note cartridge.  The squirrel couple have the sweetest faces from the PK-450 Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment.  I took a marker and made a little button nose as it seemed more animal like.  I colored my leaves with watercolor pencils and added some distress ink.   This is my entry for Peachy Keen's LFIF Leaves Challenge.

Throwback Thursday Challenge

This week's Throwback Thursday Challenge is to use a Cricut font cartridge.  If you were Cricut fan back in the day, you might remember QVC having an exclusive cartridge called Cuttin' Up.  Cuttin' Up is a great chunky font but it also has some great cuts like this baby rattle.  I added my Anyday Bingo & Crossword stamp set from My Creative Time to make a baby card.

Fall Door Hanger

This was a fun project to make.  I made this project for the Challenge Me Monday at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.  This week the challenge is to use leaves on your project, perfect for fall.  My first thought was to make a scrapbook page but I found this door hanger acorn frame at the 99 cent store.  I knew I could make some leaves and flowers with my Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge.  The leaves were cut with tan card stock and I went to town on them with my watercolor pencils.

They had some bat and pumpkin ones too... I need to make it back before they sell out.
