Baby... It is Cold Outside

Well, cold is a good thing if you are a penguin! I saw these adorable penguins at the Silhouette Store, #36410, and thought they would look very cute with Peachy Keen Stamps' Faces.  The image was re-sized to approximately six inches.  This card can fit in a standard business envelope.

Tree Treats and Blog Candy

Hello! I was able to squeeze a little craft time in this weekend. These Tree Treat Boxes are a cut from a Silhouette Store design, scalloped tree box. I decorated the trees with gems and my Peachy Keen Face Stamps, PK-485 Snowmany Faces. Personally, I think any Peachy Face would look darling on these trees. They are so sweet, I can't wait to give them to my friends. And in honor of Kathy's birthday, there is some blog candy up for grabs open until the 19th HERE.

Decorating Cookies

I had such a fun time "decorating" these gingerbread cookies. The cookie tin is from Joanns and had an owl on it.  I thought the bowl of gingerbread cookies, PK-151 Gingerbread Bowl, would be adorable on the lid for Christmas cookies.  The gingerbread were really fun to decorate with white gel pen, paint, copic markers, gems, and glitter glue.  I found the recipe for gingerbread in my stash, DCWV's Mrs. Claus' Kitchen, and put the recipe card form Mrs. Claus behind the bowl.  I should make some paper cookies to put inside, he he...

Snowman's Winter Wishes

This card is made with the CUTEST Snowman stamp! He is from Peachy Keen, PK-153 Snow Me a Man.  The set has sentiments and "snowman extras" (mittens, a heart, and coal buttons for stamp options).  The practical side of me loves stamps that you can get different looks with by switching options. AND you have a chance to win this stamp set over at the Peachy Connection!  You will need to make a project with word art background and a snowman as a focal point. The challenge is open until December 9, 11:59 CST.  Here is my sample, and I hope I get to see your projects too!
I added twigs from the backyard for his arms...

Snowmen Ornaments

Happy Friday! It is time for another Peachy Keen Challenge.  This week's challenge is to make an ornament for your tree. Be sure to link up your project by 12/12 - 11:59 pm EST at the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog. For my project, I embellished pre-made snowflake ornaments with Snowmen from Cricut's Winter Frolic Cartridge.  Their faces are from Peachy Keen, PK-480 and PK-144.  I actually cut all the pieces in white card stock and used markers and ink to change the color of the layers. I find that small pieces work well with this method.

Peachy Keen December Challenge

I created this project for the Peachy Keen December Release Party.  The Peachy Connection has two challenges up with a chance to win some of these high quality stamps!  The first challenge is to make a project with a drink on it.  I used the champagne bottle from the December Stamp of the Month set.  The banner and "Happy New Year" sentiment are also in the same set.  I place these elements on a rosette from the Cricut cartridge, Ribbons and Rosettes, and added some star cuts from the same cartridge.

Peachy Keen December Sneak Peak!

Good Morning! I have two cards to share that feature the NEW Peachy Keen Stamp of the Month stamps form Peachy Keen Stamps.  Darling stamps for celebrations, New Years, winter, and more sweet faces are included in this stamp set.
For  my first card, I stamped the martini glass and "cheers" sentiment.  The background is a cut from Nifty Fifties Cricut Cartridge.

My next card is a birthday card for a belated birthday.  I love the single candle's expression inside the card, he looks a little upset about missing the actual birthday.  The card base is a SVG file that is available at Lori Whitlock's store, Flip Swing Card Set 3

Be sure to check out the Peachy Keen Blog this week for more projects featuring the new stamps for December 2012.  And mark your calendars! The Release Party is on December 5, at the Peachy Keen Connection Site, 6 pm CST.

Fluff Those Feathers

Shape card projects are the challenge at the Peachy Keen Bog this week.  The Challenge- make a card with a shaped base (anything but a square or rectangle).  Be sure to link your card by December 5, 11:59 EST.  For my card, I used the new Cricut cartridge Folk Art Festival.  This cartridge has some elegant shaped card bases and as the name implies, folk art cuts.  So here is my "country hen" with her "fluff those feathers" message.

Card out for publication-

Pa Rum Pum Pum Pum

Happy Weekend!  I stayed up last night playing with  my Cameo and Christmas SVG cut kits.  The drum is from Santa's Visit kit and the base of the drum is surrounded by toys cut from the Christmas morning kit.  The drum from the kit was perfectly sized for a 4 in pot and went together very easily as I have found with the kits I have purchased from the SVG cuts store.  I sized the toys to fit around the base of the drum.  My family is big into decorating for Christmas but my 85 year old dad is slowing down a bit.  (although he put up his Christmas decorations on the outside of his house all by himself....Grrr) I made this project with my dad in mind, thinking it would be a nice centerpiece for his coffee table.
