Meeting Buzz

Hello! I have a scrapbook page to share with you today.  Last summer my family had season passes to Disneyland.  My girls had a blast filling up their autograph books and meeting the characters. To accent my photo, I used Peachy Keen Stamps' rocket, PK-167 Rocket Blast, and spaceship, PK-166 Happy Trails Spaceship. They are designed with circular windows that I stamped with Peachy Keen faces so you could see who is driving.  An "alien" was made by stamping a one eyed  face stamp and hand drawing a head and antenna with a green marker.  The rocket has an "astronaut" inside.  Again, I stamped a Peachy Keen face but this time a small circle punch to make a helmet. Both faces are from PK-182 Sweet and Silly Face Assortment. Stamped rocket and spaceship images are cut with an electric die cutter with companion SVG files. ( PK-SVG-167 Rocket Blast and PK-SVG-166 Happy Trails Spaceship)  I like to cut several shapes to layer and glue together so they look like custom "chip board" pieces.

I hope you enjoyed my project today and thanks for stopping by today.

Beware, Giraffe in the Sky

Don't worry! This giraffe is flying by with happy wishes.  This cutie is found in Cricut's Animal Antics and I wanted to make him for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog this week.  The Challenge is "Spring is in the Air", make something with balloons or kites.  I even had to use the Craft Room because we can't get this cartridge on our Gypsy yet.  (I just love my Gypsy!) The balloon and giraffe are cut at 4 inches.  The card base is a cut from Wild Card.

SK8 Card

Hello! I have a card to share today. The little skater boy on this card is from Fun n Flair Stamps, Jaxon.  Isn't he great? (and Jaxon is on sale too).  I just love the "flames" on his skateboard. Jaxon was fun to color with my Copic markers as I am trying to get more practice in that department.  It is always nice to have a card on hand for a special boy in your life.

Candy Chick

Good afternoon- I just finished making this treat box. Really easy to put together, she is from the Silhouette Online Store, 3d Chick Candy Dispenser.  The nice thing about this treat box is that it won't have to be torn apart to get the candy.  I added a Peachy Keen Stamp for the eyes, PK-640 Princess Face Assortment and placed the "beak" from the cut file on her "Princess Chick"  face.  This treat box could really hold a lot of candy... so I added some Excelsior inside the box.

I will be linking this project up at Peachy Keen's Anything Goes Challenge this week. If you have some Peachy Keen Stamps, be sure to play along!

The new stamps from Peachy Keen are ready for purchase.  Yippy!  The new stamps are on sale for 20% off AND you can get 10% off additional stamps.  Sale prices are good until March 12, 8 pm CST. And you have a chance to win a $25 gift certificate at the Peachy Keen Connection for a challenge entry. You can find out more buy visiting HERE.

The first challenge is to make a project with embossing.  Heat or dry embossing, it is your pick. For my card, I used both dry and heat embossing. The stamps on this card are from PK-192 Somebunny Special.

The second challenge is to make a project with a background stamp.  No worries if you don't own one because you can use any of your Peachy Keen Stamps to create your own background.  Peachy Keen designer Amber has a darling example, she used a decorated egg stamp to make a background. For card below, I used a tag from Basic Grey with a bird on it. The sentiment can be found on PK-194 Wisecrack Sentiments.  Peachy Keen Stamps background stamps, PK-189 Copper Ceiling Tile, was stamped on a kraft card base.

I hope you have a chance to enter your project for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate.  Have a great day!

Hootenanny

So my daughter sees this card... "that is a cute owl BUT what is a hootenanny?".  I say to her, "it is like a party where there is singing and I think owl would go to a hootenanny."  Daughter replies, "Oh."  I guess if  you have to explain. ha ha

Well I think he is a darling owl.  The owl is from Fun 'n' Flair Stamps and is a digi stamp called Coo Coo Owl.  I am new to the digi stamps but I have been enjoying printing and cutting them with my Cameo.

Fun 'n' Flair Stamps has a "texture" challenge and I will be linking my Hootenanny Card.  Their designers have some creative sample that you might want to see HERE.

Peachy Keen Stamps' March Sneak Peek

Hello! I am so excited to share with you cards I made with the March Peachy Keen Stamps' Club stamps. This is a darling set with Easter themed items, sentiments, and faces that I for one, will be using all year.  Seriously, my heart skipped a beat when I saw these for the first time.

My first card is on a egg shaped base that I found at the Silhouette Online Store, Scallop Easter Egg Shaped Card.  The sweet little girl dressed in her bunny suit is the star of this card.

For my next card, I stamped some of the sentiments. The "chocolate bunny" card is made with a cut file included in SVG Cuts', Egg Hunt SVG Kit,  A tag was added with the "Sending Easter Joy" sentiment.

Inside the card.
Peachy Keen will be hosting a release party on their Ning Site on March 5, at 6 pm CST. Stop by for some fun, challenges, and chat. After the party the new stamps will be available for purchase at the Peachy Keen store. Yay!
